Prosecutor general of Armenia Aghvan Hovsepyan has visited the penitentiary of Kentron community of Yerevan, where he had a meeting with MP Myasnik Malkhasyan, Sasun Mikayelyan, Hakob Hakobyan, former deputy prosecutor general Gagik Jhangiryan and Ararat Zurabyan, who are accused in “organizing mass disorders followed by killings, firing and clampdown for the purpose of power usurpation, using power against representatives of the government.” According to the press department of the prosecutor’s office, answering to the questions of the prosecutor the detainees said that they didn’t have any complaints concerning the approach of the police officers, the conditions of the penitentiary, they had no complaints concerning the investigation bodies and their health conditions. “Some of them addressed separate issues concerning the capacity of the accusations against them,” reads the statement.
