During a meeting with president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in Saint Petersburg the newly elected president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev invited Serzh Sargsyan to pay a visit to Moscow. “If it is appropriate to you, we will be happy to meet you in Moscow, conduct comprehensive negotiations and continue the ongoing cooperation between Armenia and Russia,” said the Russian president. In early July Medvedev will visit Azerbaijan. During his meeting with Aliyev Medvedev confirmed his visit to Azerbaijan. “Our relations are characterized as relations between partners,” said the Russian president during his meeting with Aliyev.
