Ex-PM Henrik Abrahamyan, who has announced about his decision to drop his mandate, has been appointed director of the wine factory of Artashat. According to radio Liberty, speaker Tigran Torosyan says that it is very good on the part of the MP and “it would be better if all the other MPs who get other positions do the same thing”. The CEC has held a session and decided to organize extraordinary elections in Precinct 17 of Artashat territorial district of Ararat region. It is worth mentioning that there are rumors saying that he has resigned in order to enable his brother, the staff chief of the president’s office Hovik Abrahamyan be elected MP for the purpose of becoming NA speaker in the future.
