Recently there was an active dialog on the post-election situation in Armenia between the foreign affairs minister of Sweden and Swedish MP Kalle Larson in the Swedish parliament, Riksdag. The latter submitted a letter to FM Carl Bidder during the period of the state of emergency in Armenia and asked him to clarify the stance of Sweden to the events of March 1 in Armenia, cases of arresting people for their political views and limitations on democratic liberties, and whether they can help to solve the mentioned problems in any way. In his speech Carl Bild informed that the ministry of foreign affairs of Sweden had published a report on Armenia, which “emphasizes the limited respect of Armenia toward political rights and civic liberties.”
