01/05/2008

Prosperous Armenia faction MP and member of the Armenian delegation to the PACE Vahe Hovhannisyan has approved the rumors that he has submitted an application to speaker Tigran Torosyan for the purpose of dropping his mandate. He said that the reason of his resignation is private issues. “I just want to change my job and work in the private sector. MPs don’t have the right to work in the private sector. It is a long time that I want to resign and I don’t want this fact serve a reason for different rumors. One month ago I informed the head of the PA faction about my intention and he understands me. I have never had and I don’t have any problems with Gagik Tsarukyan. We have been working together for more than one year and we respect each other, thus I don’t think that my resignation can change anything in our relations,” said Vahe Hovhannisyan. According to the relevant procedures, his application will be considered on Monday.
