Yesterday the human rights defendant of Armenia, Armen Harutyunyan came up with a long statement, where he proved that the amendments to the law on rallies, mass demonstrations and gatherings developed in the parliament on March 20 contradict the human rights international convention and the RA Constitution. He emphasized that the limitations to the law should be raised and the law should be subject to contextual changes. The RA justice minister Gevorg Danielyan has excluded the possibility of major changes to the law, “There will be editorial changes, but I don’t see any grounds or needs to make major changes”.
