Yesterday the leaders of the Republican Party, Prosperous Armenia Party, the Legal State Party and the representative of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Supreme Body signed an agreement on political coalition at the government of Armenia. In a joint declaration the four parties said their main objectives are to form an effective government that enjoys the support of the overwhelming majority of Armenians and is based on the environment of solidarity. Hours after signing the coalition a number of Armenians lit candles and held carnations in memory of the dead of March 2. However the crowd was confronted and dispersed after silently marching past the site of the March 1 clashes by the police because of the logical outcome of the “environment of solidarity”. Some of them have even used electroshock against certain protestors.
