Recently PM Serzh Sargsyan organized a rally in the Republic square and during that rally petitioned the other candidates to cooperate with the government and even to make a coalition with them. Yesterday Serzh Sargsyan said in the parliament, “Some opposition powers have already answered to my petition to cooperate with us”. However, he didn’t say the names of those parties and said, “I don’t want to say who they are. However, I have good news, which is that some of them have agreed… Both some candidates and powers that are not represented in the government have agreed. One candidate has not. They will say about it themselves”. It is not a secret that Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his supporters have refused to cooperate. Artashes Geghamyan has agreed and told the radio Liberty that the National Unity party “is ready to participate in any processes aimed at protecting the Armenian statehood”. We wander whether LS chairman Artur Baghdasaryan has agreed to cooperate as well. Yesterday we were told by the LS spokesperson that the LS had not made a decision concerning that issue yet and that Artur Baghdasaryan would come up with an announcement in two days and will answer many outstanding questions.
