Storm International, a Russian company, is opening new casinos in Costa Rica and Armenia this year and may take its businesses out of Russia. Michael Botcher has informed about this intention a couple of days ago. A new law has been adopted in Russia (will get in force in 2009), according to which casinos are to be taken out of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. Four regions will be provided for casinos, which are in the regions of Kaliningrad, Syberia, Altay and near the Azov lake (Southern part of Russia). The gross annual income from casinos in Russia is 7 billion dollar. “If the law is not changed, we will leave Russia,” said Botcher, who is originally from the Great Britain and founded the Storm casino of Moscow 16 years ago. According to radio Liberty, the Storm International is going to open a casino in a place nearby Yerevan in May. The mentioned company is going to invest 300 million dollar to build a hotel, concert hall, trade hall and restaurant.
