According to the Russian Finance Magazine rating 2008 among the richest people of Russia the owner of the Unicor Group (real estate, agriculture, bank) Bidzina (Boris) Ivanishvili is the 35th richest man. His property is estimated 5.2 billion USD (127.4 billion rubles). Last year Ivanishvili occupied the 25th place in the same list and his property was estimated 4.5 billion USD (119.6 billion rubles). By the way, according to the Forbes Magazine in 2007 Ivanishvili used to occupy the 167th place among the billionaires of the world. According to the data published in the magazine Ivanishvili’s property was estimated 4.7 billion USD. Besides that four more businessmen of Georgian descent entered the list of 500 richest people of Russia. In particular, in the rating of the Finances the 48th place is occupied by the co-owner of the Sibir Energy (oil) and Russian Land Shalva Chigirinski, 59. His property was estimated 2.95 billion USD (72.3 billion rubles). The 63rd place occupies the co-owner of the Eurasia Drilling Company oil service company Alexander Japaridze. The property of the 53-year-old businessmen is estimated 1.8 billion USD (44.1 billion rubles). According to the Finances Magazine in 2006 Japaridze’s property was estimated only 40 million USD and the businessman didn’t even enter in the list of 2007. Konstantin Mirilashvili, who’s the co-owner of the Euro Service Agro Holding, occupies the 129th place in the list. The property of the 47-year-old was estimated 0.75 billion USD (18.4 billion rubles). In the last year rating Mirilashvili occupied the 205th place – 280 million USD (7.4 billion rubles). In the rating of the Finances Davit Yakobashvili, 51, occupies the 195th place. He’s the director of the Vim Bil Dani board. His property is estimated 0.5 billion USD (12.3 billion rubles). Last year Yakobashvili occupied the 124th place with the 450 million USD property (12 billion rubles). This year the first three places of the richest persons of Russia are occupied by Oleg Deripaska, Roman Abramovich and Vladimir Lisin. Oleg Deripaska, who’s been maintaining his leading place in the list, is the owner of the Bazovi Element company (Ruslan, GAZ, Ingostrakh and others). His property is estimated 40 billion USD (980 billion rubles). Last year Deripaska’s property was estimated 21.2 billion USD (563.5 billion rubles). The governor of Chukotka and the owner of the Chelsea Soccer team of London Roman Abramovich again occupies the second place. His property is estimated 23 billion USD (563.5 billion rubles). Let’s remember that last year Abramovich occupied the second place after Deripaska. In 2007 Abramovich’s property was estimated 21 billion USD (558 billion rubles). The third and fourth places are occupied by Vladimir Lisin and Mikhail Fridman. Lisin is the stockowner of the Metallurgical Plant of Novolipetsk and Fridman is the stockowner of the Alfa Group. The property of each is estimated 22.2 billion USD (543.9 billion rubles).
