The foreign media about RA elections

Yesterday a series of famous foreign media channels adverted to the RA presidential elections. For example, the CNN mentioned that RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan deserved the votes of the majority of citizens and that he has the support of the incumbent president Kocharyan, was leading the campaign and can provide the continuity of the plans of the country. According to the CNN the main opponent of Sargsyan was Levon Ter-Petrosyan. And the Associated Press quoted the words of Sargsyan said after the voting, according to which, “The key factor is to raise the trust of voters to election results.” The CNN has also quoted the words of Gevorg Hovhannisyan, who voted for Sargsyan as he had witnessed the improvement of economy during the period when Sargsyan had been a Prime Minister. “I have seen the work he has been doing. He has increased our pensions. If he is able to do that he can do other things as well.” The BBC mentions that the power “mildly” moves to the Prime Minister of the country, who promises prosperity to the country. “Despite its small size this post-Soviet state is considered as a strategically important one by being located between the markets of the Caspian Sea rich with energy resources and the Southern Europe oil and propane,” writes the BBC. The France 24 online news agency writes that the majority of the monitors claim that Serzh Sargsyan will continue the politics of Kocharyan during the upcoming ten years.
