Yesterday RA presidential candidate Serzh Sargsyan had rallies in Tavoush and Lori marzes. In Alaverdi Sargsyan started his rally by visiting St. Narekatsi Church.
By addressing to the residents of Alaverdi gathered in the central square of the town Serzh Sargsyan said that the nature is very generous to that part of the country by offering the Alaverdi residents rich natural resources, landscape and smart people. According to him at present there are opportunities to solve the current social issues of the country without eloquent promises. He also mentioned that the state will support the businessmen and will meanwhile the state will help the businessmen be involved in the solution of the social problems of the country. “This can be done only by a strong state, strong not only with its army but also the support to the businessmen. That is the logic of permitting the Teghut mine being exploited. This is a very important principled program for us and it doesn’t mean that we are going to carelessly exploit and destroy our nature and its resources. I think that there are three components here. We need common rules of exploitation in order comply with the duties, reaching maximum results and not harming the nature. NGOs must also play a key role in this process. We have always supported the opinion that the nature must be used on behalf of people. However at the same time we must use it as in western countries in order to be satisfied by the results. Years later not only the residents of Alaverdi but also the nearby communities will be satisfied as new workplaces will be created, families will receive incomes and progress will be tangible,” said Sargsyan when speaking bout one of the most important issues of the marz – the Teghut mine. In the borderline town Noyemberyan of Tavoush marz, where Sargsyan was welcomed by thousands of people, the latter mentioned that the residents of this marz fulfill their mission with honor by supporting the people and the army. “Our job is to progress our country, create a warm and solid environment and unite everyone. We together with you must build a more protected and proud country so that we would be able to turn our pride into zeal, strength and solve other issues. We were able to protect our land and we will be able to progress our country,” he ensured. Sargsyan reminded that in the beginning of the 90s many people were skeptical about victory however the Armenian nation was able to reach success due to trust and unanimity, in other words win the war. And now the country is able to solve social issues and develop the economy. Sargsyan also had a major meeting with the resort center of Armenia Dilijan town. Here he ensured the people that Dilijan can become a financial center. By the way the basis of this program was put by Serzh Sargsyan. In spring a major construction will start in Dilijan. Various business firms are planning different business projects here. This means that there will not be any problem connected with unemployment here. If three years ago the budget of Dilijan was 300 million USD now it reaches 2 billion 300 million. “We have the capacity to occupy a worthy position among all the other countries of the world. That is the confidence which gives me grounds to join me so that we go onward together, to a more favorable and prosperous country, to Armenia of our dreams,” stated the presidential candidate. He also had meetings with the voters of Artchis, Ltchkadzor, Ayrum, Voskevan, Baghanist, Koti, Barekamavan and Voskepar communities of the marz.
