The investigation department of the police in Ararat region has convened an ad hoc investigation commission to investigate the incidents in Artashat city during Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s rally on February 6. According to a recent statement of the RA public prosecutor’s office, legal proceedings have been instituted to discover all details of the incident, “The recordings of the rally have been carefully studied, the operative investigation departments have been instructed to find the hooligans and witnesses”. According to the mentioned statement, Ter-Petrosyan’s body guard Sargis Hovhannisyan has said that hardly he can recognize anyone and two of the criminals who have attacked him were of medium age, had black hair and he can recognize only two of them if he sees them. According to medical expertise of Hovhannisyan, citizen of Mkhchyan village Raya Asatryan and citizen of Artashat Ofelya Hovsepyan, “They have got small body injuries, which are not dangerous for health”. According to the statement, the information in the statement of Ter-Petrosyan’s pre-election headquarter writing that Sargis Hovhannisyan has been taken to hospital and is there is not true. “Studies of recordings of the rally have shown that the announcements saying that pieces of ice, stones and bottles have been thrown to the rally speakers in Artashat on February 6 are not true either and such announcements are baseless,” alleges the public prosecutor’s office. By the way, yesterday during Ter-Petrosyan’s campaign hour on H1 (the national TV) a recording was shown, which clearly showed that stones have been thrown and it also showed the faces of those hooligans. This scene has been recorded by “A1+” too, but the police and prosecutor’s office have not asked “A1+” to show them the recording.
