During the press conference yesterday the Founder and the Executive Director of the company Andrew Cooper mentioned that in answer to the questions which presidential candidate would best solve the issue of unemployment, RA economic development, NKR conflict, Genocide recognition, infrastructure development, withstand the threat of war, social security and fight against corruption most of the respondents gave their preference to Serzh Sargsyan. The latter was followed by Artur Baghdasaryan and Vahan Hovhannisyan. “Taking into account the before mentioned indexes, we can say that Serzh Sargsyan has a significantly leading position in the forthcoming presidential elections. He has a major advantage in the solution of economic (exceeds the rating of other candidates by 15%) and security issues (20%). In fact he has more supporters than all the other candidates. And because only two weeks are left for the voting day, it seems nothing can intimidate his leading position,” Cooper concluded. He also presented the ratings of the political powers: RPA – 56,89%, Prosperous Armenia – 46,49%, Legal State – 46,33, ARF – 41,74, National Democratic Union – 34,04, People’s Party of Armenia – 32,57, and People’s Party – 32,21. Is the country on the right direction or not? 57% of the surveyed consider it right. Moreover as Cooper says the most optimistic respondents were the young people.
