On Saturday president Robert Kocharyan referred to Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s announcement that “his biggest mistake has been inviting Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan to Armenia” and said the following: “He not only invited me but also asked me to come to Armenia. Definitely time will come and I will speak about it more and I will say how it happened. Certainly he has made a mistake for his personal destiny. As for Armenia, he has done a good thing for the development of Armenia and it has been one of his few good decisions”. Concerning Ter-Petrosyan’s announcement that prison cells have been prepared “to send certain known persons there after the elections” Kocharyan said, “When such announcements are spoken by a person, who doesn’t inspire either horror or belief at least at that moment, it is becoming funny. Besides that I wouldn’t ever think that the first president would ever go down to that level. I believe that he will be depressed after the elections, but we will not persecute anyone or punish him and his friends”.
