Yesterday President Robert Kocharyan, Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan, Chairman of the National Assembly Tigran Torosyan, deputy Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and other high-ranking government and parliament officials visited Yerablour cemetery to remember all those who died in the battle for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. They laid flowers at the graves of late Prime Minister Vazgen Sargyan, former parliament chairman Karen Demirchyan and at a memorial erected in memory of all killed soldiers. “Every time I visit Yerablur I have a feeling of sorrow, pain and excitement,” said Serzh Sargsyan. Speaking to journalists Defense Minister Mikael Harutyunyan said the Armenian army is getting stronger and more efficient with every passing year. “Despite incessant Azerbaijani war rhetoric it does not dare to resume hostilities and this is evidence of the growing might of our army, which is ready to rebuff any possible aggression and ensure the security of our nation. The army is strengthened and not only created,” the minister said.
