Once again sheep was sacrificed

Yesterday the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan left for Tavush Marz to meet with local voters. About 200 residents of Tsakhkahovit Village slaughtered a lamb for Ter-Petrosyan’s victory. The residents were asking the first president whether he is not afraid. “No, I am not afraid,” he ensured as a response to which the villagers wished him good luck and said they would support him. Later the first president went to Tovuz village. Here his meeting, which united 100-150 people, took place near the 40/48 polling-station, where the RPA flag was waving. The next stop was in Berd. Here about 2000-2500 citizens gathered. During the rally the leader of the Marxist Party Davit Hakobyan, a descent from Tavoush made a speech. The latter offered the gathered people to “get rid of the Karabagh (ghzlbash) tribes and send them to the Tartar valley as this is a very devious and criminal government and there is no way to give up.” In his speech Ter-Petrosyan mentioned that the government is based on blood. Because of that after they get elected they should send the criminal government either behind bars or they should somehow run away from the country. He promised the invited people that he will guarantee peace and normal relations with the neighboring states. In Vazashen village the meeting took place near the office of the village head, where Serzh Sargsyan’s campaign was located, which is a violation of the law. Such things were a wide-spread phenomenon in Tavoush. The campaign posters of the RPA candidate were pasted on the walls of village councils, post offices and in some places Serzh Sargsyan’s campaign office was located. And in Dilijan Serzh Sargsyan’s campaign office was located in the Tax Bureau and the Military Commission buildings. Nevertheless, during the visit several unpredicted stops took place. Ter-Petrosyan also managed to stop at the Marz Center of Tavoush, Ijevan city. As it turned out certain obstacles were created in advance to hinder the rally of Ter-Petrosyan. In particular, a special meeting was convened in the governor’s building, where it was ordered not to participate in the rally of Ter-Petrosyan. Such orders also received the doctors, teachers, students (the latter received the order from the rector of the Ijevan branch of the YSU) and others. As opposed to this Ter-Petrosyan was met with bread and salt and the rally was really crowded (about 2-2.5 thousand people gathered). Ter-Petrosyan wrapped up his meeting in Dilijan, where 2-3000 citizens were present.
