“The officials from the earthquake zone, who are afraid of the visits of the country leaders, usually speak about their problems to them. They are afraid that they may see their failures and shortcomings in the zone. For this purpose the police doesn’t let the citizens approach the leaders of the country and after such visits the citizens often complaint that they have not been allowed to talk to them. In 1998 I escorted Kocharyan to the only hospital of Vanadzor and showed him the collapsed building. Kocharyan saw it and asked me, “Viktor, what is that?” I said it was a hospital. He got surprised. However, it is a long time that this hospital has been re-constructed. It will be fair to say that he has solved all the problems I have shown to him. Despite my critics addressed to him and the existing controversies the fact is that he has done that work. I will do the same with Serzh Sargsyan too. When he visits Vanadzor I will take him to show the cottage shelters of people, but not the regional government building,” said MP Viktor Dallakyan to our correspondent.
