Yesterday the ARF Supreme Meeting nominated Deputy Speaker Vahan Hovhannisyan, member of the ARFD Bureau, for the presidential election. 60 delegates of the Supreme Meeting voted for Vahan Hovanisyan. 13 voted for Armen Rustamyan. 3 voted for both. By the way ARG Supreme Body representative Hrant Margaryan didn’t say a word about this neither through verbal speech nor through interviews. Yesterday he refused to say anything and instead said, “I am not going to say a word today.” According to certain ARF members Margaryan was against Hovhannisyan’s nomination and in order to hide his discontent he preferred to keep silence. The ARF meeting hosted Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan, Prosperous Armenia (former ARF member) member Arevik Petrosyan, NDU chairman Vazgen Manukyan, Legal State deputy chairman Mher Shahgeldyan, National Unity Party deputy chair Gagik Tadevosyan, Samvel Babayan, Albert Bazeyan and other politicians. ANM was invited but didn’t take part in the ARF Meeting.
