Arman Melikyan, an advisor to the president of Karabakh, has announced that he has resigned from his position and is going to nominate his candidacy during the presidential elections in February. He thinks that Armenia should revoke the decision of the Soviet Armenia Supreme Council on uniting Karabakh with Armenia, which was adopted in 1989. It is worth mentioning that Robert Kocharyan’s candidacy was registered for the presidential elections in Armenia based on this decision, thus Arman Melikyan’s candidacy may be registered in the same manner too.
