The stock market of Armenia has not been formed. According to sociologists, the reason is the fact that Armenian businessmen are individuals with their behavior and business appearance. Usually business partners have conflicts and get separated. According to economists, the existing situation with the stock market can be explained with the huge capacity of shady economy. Big shareholders don’t pay the small ones since they hide the real profits. Furthermore, businessmen tend to become 100% shareholders. Swedish company OMX bought 100% of the Armenian stock market and central depository shares too. The further developments may be very interesting.
