On September 7 of this year the leaders of “National Unity” party made a statement calling on the leaders of all political powers, both pro-government and opposition, to meet to discuss the issue of fighting against the foreign and inner challenges of the country, to work out the processes which are dangerous for the republic and reach a political consensus. “However, both pro-government and opposition separate parties and their leaders ignored our petitions and preferred the incorrect strategy of accusing each other. As a result of it there were bad events such as the events of October 23. The NU leadership strongly condemns the illegal and unjustified application of brute force. National Unity Party will follow the investigation processes connected with the events of October 23 and their estimations,” reads the NU statement.
