On October 17 Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan left for the United States of America. The government information and public relations department informs that the finance and economy minister, minister of trade and economic development, agriculture minister, chief adviser to the president of the republic on economic issues, Central Bank chairman and deputy foreign minister are among the delegation spearheaded by the prime minister. Within the framework of the visit, Armenian government delegation will take part in the annual conference of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. It will also take part in the Armenian-American economic cooperation intergovernmental committee session. Serzh Sargsyan will visit Pentagon On October 18 and will meet with U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates. The prime minister will meet with U.S. Vice President Richard Cheney at the White House. Serzh Sargsyan will also meet with John Danilovich, the director of Millennium Challenges Corporation at the headquarters of the corporation. The delegation, spearheaded by the prime minister, will leave for Los Angeles from Washington D.C. late October 18, where Sargsyan will meet with the editorial board of Los Angeles Times. The prime minister will meet with Linsi Foundation management on the same day. On October 20, the delegation will leave back to Washington where Serzh Sargsyan will meet with IMF Managing Director Dominic Strauss-Kahn on October 21. On October 22, the government delegation will take part in the annual conference of the World Bank and IMF. Later the prime minister will leave for U.S. Senate to meet Harry Reid, leader of the majority of the U.S. Senate. On October 23, the prime minister will have a face-to-face interview with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Ruben Jaffrey. The leader of the Armenian government will take part and deliver a speech at the Armenian-American working group meeting session. On the same day, a meeting is expected with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Serzh Sargsyan will also meet with American Armenian organizations in Washington. On October 23, the delegation will leave for Paris. Government press services say in the course of his business trip from October 17 to 27, deputy prime minister and minister of territorial management, Hovik Abrahamyan, will take the place of Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan.
