Yesterday it was the official ceremony of opening a factory owned by “DG Arms Corporation”. This company has reconstructed three production lines, due to which the company is able to produce bullets now. In addition, the tool production department has been reconstructed and renovated too, which will provide the supply of the necessary tools. Answering to a question whether the opening of the factory is connected with the defense of the country prime minister Serzh Sargsyan said, “I think that in case the factory operates in its full capacity, we will be well-provided at least for several types of arms. Generally, small countries don’t have a possibility to have their own production for all types of arms. Only four countries had a possibility to produce bullets in the former Soviet Union.” The prime minister said that the opening of this factory wasn’t connected with the conflict of Karabakh and added, “Where we say defense of the country, we mean defense of Karabakh too. In this view there is some direct connection, but generally there is no connection with the situation. I mean that the opening of this factory is not conditioned by the situation.”
