“We enthusiastically welcome the Armenian parliamentary elections of May 12 and congratulate the Armenian people on a more successful poll than previous elections. I hope that the democratic processes will also progress in Armenia,” announced Ambassador John Danilovich, the Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) yesterday in Yerevan. He also said that the Corporation is satisfied overall with the efforts of the Armenian office. “There are contracts worth about 25 million USD planned for Armenia, the funding of which will soon become available,” said Danilovich. “So far we are satisfied with the progress of program implementation and hope to continue our work in Armenia.”
