They will not get a single inch of land

“Aliev’s recent aggressive announcements are a part of their state lobbying policy. He has always spoken that way. However, I think if they were ready to solve their problems with their military power, they would have done it long ago,” RA defense minister Michael Harutyunyan said yesterday, concerning the “inventions” about the negotiations that Aliev made recently. “They knew the capabilities of the Armenian and Karabakh army forces very well; they knew that it would not be so easy to solve their problems through aggression. This is the reason why they don’t act, but if they manage to act, they will get what they deserve. They always speak about the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. We have told them that if there are no compromises, the conflict will not be settled and they will not get a single inch of land from the territory under Karabakh’s control. They should think about this. If they want to solve some certain problems connected with Karabakh, they have to compromise. If they don’t, we will not do so either. They understand this very well. Accordingly, it does not look well on the part of the Azeri president to make such announcements while he is also participating in peaceful negotiations,” concluded Harutyunyan.
