On Tuesday a mass brawl took place among Armenian and Azerbaijani students in the “Friendship of Nations” Russian University in Moscow. As a result many suffered. According to Regnum, the fight inside the university was stopped with the mediation of the police and the security of the university, however it later continued in the vicinity of the university. One person was taken to the hospital because of a gunshot wound, while others were given medical treatment at the scene of the incident. According to the information of the Azerbaijani media, the student who was wounded by a gunshot is an Azerbaijani. The Police Department of Cheryomushka is investigating this incident, and there are two dozen who have been arrested. Regnum states that the Armenian and Azerbaijani groups were screaming “Karabakh, Karabakh” and waving their national flags. The fight started during an event organized on Tuesday in the university, when certain pavilions were given to representatives of the nations. The maps of each nation (Armenia and Azerbaijan) portrayed Karabakh as part of their territory.
