First president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan sent a letter of condolence to Naina Yeltsin on the death of Boris Yeltsin, first president of the Russian Federation.
“I lost a frank and devoted friend who always stuck to his moral principles. He was kind, very humane and showed outstanding wisdom as a political figure. Thanks to these features, he was able to lead the country at the most difficult and vital period of fundamental reforms in Russia. History will still honor and appreciate the person who carried out the burden of reforms and innovations. I would very much like to underline the investment Boris Nikolayevich made in Armenia-Russia co-operation and further development.”
