The subsequent debate at the “Pressing” club attached to the “168 Hours” offices was dedicated to the National Assembly election campaign process. Should the people know the truth, or hear what they want to hear? This and other issues regarding PR were touched upon during the debate during which Yerevan State University professor, PR expert and politician Tigran Hakobyan mentioned that, for example, he has gotten acquainted with the pre-electoral booklet of the Armenian Republican Party and “everything is written clearly”. However, Hakobyan also noted that he knows how the men of the Republican and “Prosperous Armenia” parties are going from door-to-door in the Erebuni and Nubarashen districts. One of the debaters recalled how the representatives of the “Prosperous Armenia”, “Dashink” and ARF parties were going from door-to-door demanding passports from somebody, taking photographs of the family members, etc. So, the platforms of the parties, their nice words spoken during the campaign, and the steps taken by their representatives are, according to Hakobyan, incompatible.
