The CEC has decided to respond to the letters and recommendations sent to them and the mass media as well. Yesterday CEC chair Garegin Azaryan introduced this decision and said that they had received only ten such letters, most of which had been sent by the “Impeachment” bloc and “Supreme Council deputies’ club” NGO. Azaryan assures that they have already responded to the media coverage about collecting passports from voters and have sent all that information to the RA prosecutor’s office, Police, and Regional management ministry. Furthermore, they say that the prosecutor’s office answered that letter promptly and informed that the media coverage did not include any concrete information, and accordingly they can’t institute legal proceedings.
