“Legal State” party is participating in the pre-election campaign with the following slogans: “Law and justice”, “With people, for people”. Yesterday, during the presentation of the LS pre-election campaign, Arthur Baghdasaryan said that by getting the public’s vote, the LS would be able to make efforts to develop the country into a competitive state with a high image in the region. They are also promising to implement different programs connected with the youth and provide good conditions for higher education and scholarships, as well as develop strong ties between the fields of education, science and production. Concerning foreign policy, they said that they advocate a course targeted to developing ties with Europe with the strategic purpose to join the EU in the future. “We will struggle in a fair, honest manner, and it is up to the people to decide how many votes we will get,” said Baghdasaryan. Furthermore, he said that he advocated the policy of making Armenia a transition country for Iranian natural gas and says that it would be better to build another pipeline through the Armenian territory. “Making Armenia a transit country for Iranian natural gas would enable us to provide more income for the state budget,” Baghdasaryan said. During the LS pre-election program presentation they said that their goal was to make Armenia a lawful state, as “Nowadays we very often see that real life and the law are too far from each other. We see that many people exceed their powers and stand above the law; we see that the law is applied differently for different people that have money and those that don’t; we believe the law should be applied equally for everyone and should not stay on paper only.” Concluding the presentation, they gave promises such as applying a system of scholarships for students, pension age reduction for women, teaching two foreign languages at schools, a professional army, developed agriculture, and an improved health care system, industry, and culture.
