He will do it with pleasure

Former deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Arthur Aghabekyan who obtained Armenian Revolutionary Federation membership once again after his resignation, ties his future political activity with the ARF even if the political party moves on to the oppositional field. During an interview with “Radio Liberty”, Aghabekyan said that he envisions the ARF as both the government and the opposition.

“In this sense, I have not set that kind of an issue. I am not even saying that I have to become a deputy,” he said.

In response to the observation that there were articles in the presses claiming that his resignation implies prospective goals, with the inclination to get the position of either Armenian Defense Minister or President of Nagorno-Karabakh, Aghabekyan said:

“If the Dashnaktsutiun wants to have Aghabekyan as Defense Minister, then soldier Aghabekyan will take on that responsibility with pleasure. If the Dashnaktsutiun decides that I have nothing to do in Armenia and must return to Karabakh, then I can work just as a village head as I can as President of Nagorno-Karabakh.”
