RA Foreign Affairs Minister, Vardan Oskanyan yesterday announced that he supports the dual-citizenship bill. “If we adopt dual nationality, it must be complete, dual nationals should be granted full rights,” stated the foreign minister of Armenia Vardan Oskanyan on February 26 in Yerevan. The reporters tried to find out if the minister endorses eligibility of dual nationals. “I am for it, of course, because the citizens of Armenia, both dual nationals and citizens of Armenia, must be eligible as provided for by our legislation. All the duties and rights should be granted, with some exceptions, of course, provided for by the Constitution,” Vardan Oskanyan stated. The minister says there is no need to set up a new category of citizenship, and equal rights and duties should be granted to everyone.
