Turkey has hope

Turkish Prime Minister Rejeb Tayyib Erdogan has announced that the U.S. Congress will hurt Turkish-American bilateral relations by defending the Armenian Genocide recognition bill.

“We hope that Congress will not make such a decision. But if the Congress amazes us, then I fear that that will cast a shade on our future bilateral strategic ties,” announced Erdogan during a meeting with American businessmen. According to “Royters”, Erdogan didn’t go further in detail about what Turkey may do in case of the approval of the resolution. According to the “Anatolia” news agency, Erdogan has blamed the Armenian Diaspora for speculating the Genocide issue with the purpose of hurting Turkey and recalled that Armenian “extremists” have murdered tens of Turk diplomats in the past in order to get revenge for the events of 1915.
