The electoral campaign kicked off once again. Tens of political party workers are campaigning around the city. Doors are knocked on a couple of times a day and different political party representatives present their plans and wish to sign you up to be part of their political parties. Armenians are tired of opening and closing the doors during this cold winter. It’s obvious that each person likes this or that political party and agrees to join. Many of the people residing in our building like the “Dashink” political party. But how long can we put up with the same question: “Do you like the “Dashink” political party or not?” Every night a woman knocks on the door and asks the same question, claiming that she is trying to prove the truthfulness of the lists shown by her fellow workers. I got interested and found out that that woman has participated in the Karabakh war. She was from the so-called “BTRs”. Interesting: do these “BTRs” achieve victories nationwide? It would be interesting to know whether or not that woman had a family and children at home to be out on the streets at that hour knocking on people’s doors and asking the same question. In response to my question as to whether or not she was paid for doing that, she smiled and said:
“I am doing it for the hero of our nation”.
As far as I know, some political party workers get paid for doing similar jobs. It’s amazing to see such people do this. We’re tired of these visits. The people will make their choice.
