Yesterday Kocharyan and Putin gave an interview following their meeting, during which Kocharyan said that Russia might increase its investment capacities in Armenia and be the first one with its capital in Armenia again. The president also said that besides the trade capacities the Russian investments were growing as well. Kocharyan cited Putin’s words that Russia is in the “shameful” second place with its investments in Armenia and added, “I feel that Russia will be the first one with its investments in Armenia before March”. Kocharyan also said that they had already started the fulfillment of the energetic programs and expected investments in mining business as well. By the way, Putin spoke about the regional conflicts and said that still there were risks of conflicts in Caucasus and added that he thought it would be worked out in parallel with economic development in the region. “Russia will support the settlement of those conflicts; we will do our best to solve those problems”.
