Even though there is much time before the elections, the electoral lists of parties are almost ready and hardly may be changed before the elections. The problem is that the members of those parties don’t participate in the process of making those lists and including candidates in them and usually they learn those names unexpectedly just like winning a lottery. As for the names that may win the lottery, you can read about them in our edition.
At present the political parties of Armenia are busy with “seriously” forming their proportional lists. We succeeded by suing different sources to find out with what composition the political arties are going to participate in elections. Of course, it’s not excluded that by March the lists may be resumed and look differently from what they are now.
For example, according to our information, the proportional list of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation is going to be led by the ARF Bureau member, NA Deputy-Chairman, Vahan Hovhannisyan. The second place is going to be given to the Minister of Education, Levon Mkrtchyan, the third place occupies the head of the ARF faction, Hrair Karapetyan. Later this list will continue the following way – Hrant Margaryan, Armen Rustamyan, Alvard Petrosyan, Davit Lokyan, Aghvan Vardanyan, Gegham manukyan, Armenuhi Hovhannisyan, President of “Avshar” wine company, Araik Grigoryan and Vostanik Marukhyan. And the son of Hrant Vardanyan, Michael Vardanyan will try his best via the majoritarian system. According to our information, he’s going to be nominated in Noyemberyan.
The list of the PPA (as already known PPA will go to elections on its own) will be headed by the party chairman Stepan Demirchyan. The second and third places will be respectively occupied by PPA secretary Grigor Harutyunyan and Stepan Zakaryan. This time the fourth place will be occupied by the head of the PR department of the party, Ruzan Khachatryan. The next ones will be Vardan Mkrtchyan, Edmond Tsaturyan, Felix Khachatryan and Stepan Minasyan.
If during this period the chairman of the National Unity Party, Artashes Geghamyan doesn’t find allies then according to our information the proportional list of the party will look this way – Artashes Geghamyan, Alexan Karapetyan, Koryun Arakelyan, Harutyun Muradyan, brother of Harutyun Harutyunyan, the owner of “Bamo” company, Gagik Kostndyan, Sargis Muradkhanyan.
Today in this regard, the Legal State Party is in a quite sad situation, which as known wants to participate in the elections in collaboration with the chairman of the Alliance Party, Samvel Babayan. Let’s remember that before the Alliance the Legal State was cooperating with the Constitutional Right Union and as known Babukhanyan is closely cooperating with Alliance’s Babayan. But as so far Artur Baghdasaryan and Babayan haven’t come to an agreement their lists are still “hesitant”. Thus, if the Legal State and the Alliance Parties participate in the elections in a separate format, which the Legal State doesn’t want to believe in, then the list of the Legal State will be headed by Baghdasaryan. Next ones will be Mher Shahgeldyan and Haik Babukhanyan. The fourth honored place will be occupied by Heghine Bisharyan as the Legal State has decided that the head of the Legal State faction, Samvel Balasanyan must be nominated in a majoritarian way in Gyumri. That’s the reason why the latter has been sent there for the past few months. The next one will be Hovhannes Margaryan. The second place in the list of the Alliance party after Samvel Babayan will be occupied by the head of NDU, Vazgen Manukyan. After Manukyan the deputy-chairman of the party, Andranik Tevanyan and member of the political board Gnel Dlechyan, will fill the list. But if Baghdasaryan succeeds in uniting the two parties the first four places of the list will be occupied by Artur Baghdasaryan, Samvel Babayan, Vazgen Manukyan and Haik Babukhanyan. No one can dare to predict what will happen after that.
Almost the same situation is in the ULP, which as it looks like wants to realize his “business plan” with the Prosperous Armenia. There are already serious conversations that the chairman of the ULP is seriously negotiating with Gagik Tsarukyan. However, the latter doesn’t want to unite with Arsenyan. And before these negotiations are finalized the ULP has prepared its preliminary proportional list, which looks like this way – Gurgen Arsenyan, Grigor Ghonjeyan, Artur Petrosyan, Mnatsakan Petrosyan, Hripsime Avetisyan, Tamara Gevorgyan, Levon Poghosyan and Artak Bshtikyan. It’s not excluded that the former Minister of Culture, Karen Aristakesyan is also included in the ULP proportional list.
According to our information the proportional list of the Prosperous Armenia Party consists of the following people – Gagik Tsarukyan, Poltical Associate of the Party, Deputy-Minister of Transport and Communication Vardan Vardanyan, Sedrak Arustamyan, Murad Galoyan, Vilen Hakobyan, Vardan Bostanjyan as well as the head of the youth wing of the party, Vahe Enfiajyan. It’s not excluded that the first dozen may include Albert Azaryan and the Minister of Transport and Communication, Andranik Manukyan.
The list of the Republican Party will look the following way – Party Chairman Andranik Margaryan, later the head of the party board, Serj Sargsyan. The third place will be occupied by NA Speaker Tigran Torosyan, fourth place – by Galust Sahakyan, fifth – Hovik Abrahamyan. Hermine Naghdalyan will occupy the sixth place and head of the People Deputy Group, Karen Karapetyan will occupy the seventh place. Later the list will be added by Vardan Khachatryan, Armen Avetisyan, Vardan Ayvazyan and Karine Kirakosyan. And the businessmen Republicans will enter the Parliament via majoritarian system. Also the proportional list of the Republicans will also occupy Armen Ashotyan and Galust Sahakyan’s son, Arman Sahakyan.
P.S. According to our information the Minster of Justice of RA, Davit Harutyunyan will resign in March and become a member of either the Republican or the ULP party.
