The RA environmental preservation ministry revision department has found 45 cases of violations of environmental management provisions in the field of mining. Due to this revision the ministry has found 29,2 cm metallic mining, 206,4 cm mineral water, 1076,75 kilos of gold, 3 tones of silver that were not registered. 1,056 tones of gold and 2,52 tones of silver out of the mentioned capacity was found in the mining plants of Ararat Gold, Meghradzor and Sodk. The RA public prosecutor’s office has instituted legal proceedings. The government has also stopped the operation of 9 illegal mining plants. The government has confiscated 4, 925 million dram, 4 million out of which has been paid to the budget and the rest money is still pending since the court is preceding 12 cases connected with the violations.
