The consequent local government elections of the 2 communities of the Kapan and Meghri regions took place at poll 38 on January 14. Current village head and non-partisan Avetis Avetisyan was elected as community head of Dzorastan and was the only candidate. Only 61 of the 74 registered voters participated in the elections and they all cast their votes for Avetisyan. The alderman’s council elections took place on the same day in the Antarashat community and the four candidates were elected. The only candidate for community head, current village head and non-partisan Avetis Avetisyan was elected.
