The U.S. Temporary Charge d’ Affaires in Armenia Anthony Godfrey announced on Friday that the U.S. government would continue backing the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border. According to Godfrey, opening the border will not only benefit the development of socio-economic relations, but also the stability in the entire South Caucasus region. “The opening of the border is not only beneficial for Armenia, but also Turkey,” mentioned Godfrey.
