Doesn’t want to go back

According to President of Nagorno Karabakh Arkadi Ghukasyan, the Azerbaijani soldier who crossed the Armenia-Azerbaijan border on December 7 doesn’t want to go back to Azerbaijan. Recently, Arkadi Ghukasyan told journalists that the Azerbaijani soldier was found in “critical condition” on the Armenian side.

“According to the words of the soldier, which were recorded by representatives of the International Red Cross, he was beaten by his colleagues for a long time. He conscientiously crossed the border with a weapon in his hand in order to save himself from the beating in Azerbaijan. The representatives found out about that a day later and had the opportunity to see the soldier. There is no need to investigate the case because the soldier has already surrendered to the International Red Cross, which is negotiating with the corresponding Azerbaijani organization,” said Arkadi Ghukasyan to “Azatutyun” radio station.
