The government has decided to build a monument in the place of Lenin’s monument in the Republic square. A number of models of new monuments have already been forwarded to the commission, which is going to discuss them and chose the best model. Most of those models are mixture of the soviet and Middle Eastern arts, which would look better in Turkmenistan, but not in Armenia. However, there is no need to worry since people can chose one of those models and build a “transitional monument”, thus there will be a competition in one year again, and if the models are not good, they may organize more competitions and replace it until they don’t understand that they don’t have to build anything there.
