Recently in Saint-Petersburg during the closing of the Armenian year in Russia the first Russian deputy prime minister, Dimitri Medvedev said that there can’t be any xenophobia in the Armenian-Russian relationship. “Armenia and Russia have always been in agreement and have followed the historical tolerance towards each other” he said. The latter says that Russia has been faced with xenophobia in the recent period and notes, “such ideologies can’t find a ground in a country where live representatives of over 160 nations”. “We have lived within one state during several centuries. This is not a geopolitical factor only, but we have had history, we worked together and have experienced difficulties together” Medvedev said.
