Yesterday was the first anniversary of the Constitutional Referendum. In this regard the “Aylentrank” (Alternative) civic-political initiative group made an announcement. “The incumbent government of RA by occupying the power in 1998 and continuing the siege until October 27, 1999 incident, has finally fortified its position through the falsified Constitutional Referendum. By this Armenia has lost its last hopes for democracy, legality, sovereignty and legitimate government,” reads the announcement and adds that the incumbent government headed by RA President Kocharyan, after being refused by the nation during the elections 2003, committed the most terrible crime against people through the fake Constitutional Referendum 2005, which was boycotted by the opposition. The authors of the announcement mention that besides the mentioned crimes the current government will be punished for destroying the main basis of Armenia’s sovereignty – the Constitution. According to “Aylentrank” this is possible to be done only through by government, which will be elected by the will of the nation and respected by them. The mentioned government will resume what Armenia has lost by destroying the Constitution.
