The RA prosecutor’s office has brought cases against seven more people connected with the incident in the Ararat regional branch of “ArmRusGazard” company on October 8. These people are currently under arrest. The police have instituted legal proceedings against them based on Article 258 of the RA Criminal Code (hooliganism with the use of weapons). After the mentioned incident, the police arrested NA deputy Hakob Hakobyan, however, the latter was released 72 hours later. Nevertheless, the police did not release L. Barseghyan (bodyguard), D. Nerisisyan and Kh. Hairapetyan (gas station workers) and were accused of violations. After the incident, the police also arrested Armenak Vardanyan, Babken Serobyan, Varazdat Eghiazaryan and Arthur Simonyan. In addition, Armen Hakobyan, son of Hakob Hakobyan, has been under police investigation since October 20 and is also accused of violations.
