“A1+” issue to be solved by the end of this year

The European court of human rights will reach a final verdict for the actions presented to the court by Armenia by the end of the year. It may concern the issue of “A1+” TV Company as well. The representative of the Armenian government at the European court of human rights, Gevorg Kostanyan, has said to “Azatutyun” radio station that the court had accepted and proceeded 33 cases out of the 200 submitted from Armenia (they have also the question and answer sessions in the court and with the sides) and now they are waiting for the court’s verdict. The case of “A1+” is part of the mentioned 33 cases. The “A1+” TV Company has submitted two actions to the court regarding the same issue. Gevorg Kostanyan has told the radio station that the proceedings connected with the first case had terminated and the court might reach a final verdict by the end of 2006. According to “Azatutyun”, the European court has already finished the legal proceedings of the cases submitted by Azerbaijan and Georgia as well.
