On October 4, Prime Minister of Armenia Andranik Markaryan welcomed the American co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group of the Karabakh conflict settlement Matthew Braiza. Braiza said that he has worked with former U.S. Ambassador in Armenia many times and has done a lot by planning the projects aimed towards the strengthening of economy, security, democracy and stability in Armenia. According to M. Braiza, it’s impossible to reach success without cooperating with the Armenian government. Braiza and the Prime Minister touched upon the cooperation between Armenia and the “Millennium Challenges” corporation. Braiza said that Armenia is the first country that actually got to work after signing the document and he wished success for the years to come. Markaryan also discussed the energy issue and regional cooperation, security of Armenia’s energy sector, as well as Armenia’s involvement in the implementation of regional projects. Braiza stated that the U.S. has made a decision on that, according to which Armenia musn’t stay out of the regional cooperation and is continuing to put in a lot of effort towards that.
