Yesterday the RA defense minister, security secretary to the president of Armenia, Serj Sargsyan said concerning the recommendation developed by the GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova) to discuss the issues of the frozen regional conflicts in the 61 Assembly of the UN, “We must be ready for all changes in the situation since the issue directly concerns our security and our future”. “I am sure that the relevant bodies are ready”, noted Serj Sargsyan. According to “Regnum”, concerning the recommendation developed by the GUAM, the president of Karabakh, Arkadi Ghukasyan said that the mentioned recommendation didn’t have anything common with the principle of involving Karabakh in the process of negotiations. “That way Azerbaijan and the other countries of the GUAM have only propaganda purposes”, said the president of Karabakh. According to him, the problem consists in the fact that it is impossible to solve the problem without the participation of Karabakh. “Soon or later all the parties will come to that conclusion”, said Arkadi Ghukasyan.
