Armenia is one of those rare countries, where the percentage of local citizens is too high: 97%. National discrimination in politics is almost excluded. Nevertheless, Arthur Baghdasaryan, who is known as a politician advocated by West, has made the following announcement: “The president of Armenia must be Armenian”. The fact that the president of Armenia must be Armenian is written in the legislation. We can even divide Armenians into several groups; people from Kapan city, Gavar, Shirak, since most of them have European origin. The inventor of the modern idea of national separation is Ly Pen. Only this theory can serve as a basis for differentiating between an Armenian from Karabakh and an Armenian from Yerevan, because in fact the country doesn’t need politicians originally from, for instance, Artic city, but politicians that are really professional.
During the 2003 elections Arthur Baghdasaryan nominated Robert Kocharyan, who is originally from Karabakh and said that it did not matter where the president was born. Maybe he did that for the purpose of entering the parliament by all means. If yes, it means that today he is raising such an issue separating the nation for developing his own interests again.
