“The first goal of the state should be the efforts of Armenia targeted to internationally recognizing the state of Karabakh”, announced the RA president, Robert Kocharyan. The president made a speech at the third Armenia-Diaspora summit and said the following idea, “Our approach is the following: the existence of Karabakh is an incontestable fact”. According to the president, the people of Karabakh have realized and protected their right of self-determination and are currently in the process of building their state effectively. “No one is going to stop doing this in Karabakh”, said the RA president. Concerning the critical announcements made in Baku the president said, “We have gone through different changes in the negotiations process. Several times we have been close to making a contract, which would determine the right of the people of Karabakh to be independent. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to sign that contract”.
